Professional Experience: Avery brings over two decades of experience in the education and nonprofit sectors, with a deep focus on implementing and scaling work-based learning programs and leading cross-sector initiatives. Her work is rooted in a commitment to dismantling systemic barriers and building more equitable opportunities for youth and families.
A skilled project leader, Avery excels at managing large, multidisciplinary teams, maintaining strong client relationships, and creating collaborative learning environments such as communities of practice. She has a robust background in program design and evaluation, public policy, mixed-methods research, and cross-sector engagement. Avery is especially adept at synthesizing complex data into actionable insights that inform strategic planning and decision-making.
Before joining Kinetic West, Avery worked across the education sector, collaborating with school districts and consulting with clients such as the U.S. Dept. of Education and Seattle Office for Education. She holds an MPA with an emphasis in public policy and nonprofit management from the University of Washington.
Why I do this work: I’m deeply committed to partnering with mission-driven organizations to create lasting, meaningful change in their communities. What energizes me the most is bringing together diverse voices, lived experiences, and data to inform smarter, more inclusive decisions. I love helping teams move from strategy to implementation. Working with clients across the country gives me the opportunity to connect lessons learned and innovations across places—so cool!
